Tim Lane I borrowed heavily from my experiences during my first summer home from college.

Tim Lane Usually by reading.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Tim Lane I have never thought about it. It's actually hard. I do like the escape, maybe. And writing does seem to fulfill a sense of productivity that seems to be ingrained.

Tim Lane I turn to painting, reading or walking. I go back and edit old work, or tinker with my notebooks.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Tim Lane I would go to The Great Gatsby's roaring 20s and save Gatsby from his demise in the pool.
