Forget about knock backs, forget about bad reviews. You'll never be able to please everyone and not everyone will like your work. I was so frightened to put my work out there that I took a response from a magazine of, "We liked it but we've already had something similar, we'll need something different." to be a knock back and I put my pen down for about 10 years. Don't be like me, keep on wiring and keep on pushing!

I need a clean tidy space and then I need to do something that requires no thinking, so walking the dog, mucking out the horse. Something I need to physically be there to do but my brain can wander... then I get so inspired.

I'v been day dreaming about my current WIP for about four or five years... it's epic and a story I just can't wait to publish!

A new series under my other pen name (my actual name) JA Hyde! It's still the same exciting, steamy contemporary romance but doesn't have an equestrian backdrop as such... there's still the mention of a horse in there of course!! I couldn't move away too much lol

I can do it wherever and whenever I want. I love the feeling of not being tied down to a specific place. It's just fantastic. And I love that all that day dreaming is actually of benefit to me lol

I do something that requires little thinking, so my body moves but my brain can switch off and wander... most of the time that's walking the dog or mucking out my horse's stables. I find when I'm doing something like this, my juices flow much better and the ideas come in droves
