How do you get inspired to write?
Elle M. Holmes I read. A lot. Then read some more.

Before I start writing, I go for a walk on the beach with some of my favorite playlists before heading home to scribble out some words in hopes they make sense.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Elle M. Holmes The kernel of an idea for this book actually started on a ski trip with some friends back in 2014 when we were all sitting around throwing out random "what-if" scenarios. The following day there was a 12-hour drive home that I spent most of fleshing out the story. Then put it on a shelf until about 2 years ago when a conversation with a good friend over lunch at Chickfila sparked the idea to grow into way more than I had ever expected, thus The Silent Bluebird was born.
