Here lately, life has been so crazy for me, it's been hard to get inspired. However, music inspires me. Sometimes hanging out with friends and talking about their life, inspires a scene, which makes me want to write it. But mainly, it's escaping into another world that inspires me to write.

HAHA! There's so many. In fact, each book that's written or plotted has a little of my own mysteries in them. There's a few scene's in Stetson's Lady that actually happened in my life. Situations I've been through.

My ideas for Stetson's Lady came from a lot of different places. I'm not sure I can name the exact idea. I'm gonna say, LIFE. Not just my life but a lot of peoples lives, and their own personal journey through life.

I'm working on book 2 of the Diamond Ring series. Right now, I have the pleasure of telling Austin and Laci Jo's story. The working title is Austin's Woman and hopefully it will be out sometime this spring. Fingers crossed:)

Keep writing. Even when you think your work isn't good, keep going. Prepare yourself to get frustrated. A LOT! Listen to what other authors have to say and learn from their mistakes. I'm so glad that I didn't give up all the times I wanted to. It's not easy, but so worth it. Good Luck!!!

There are a few things I like about being a writer. The first one is, bringing my fictional character's to life. I'm an avid reader. One thing I always appreciated about what authors do, is they gave me a few hours to escape everyday life. I'd like to think I give readers the same thing. I love the research. Talking to people about things they love, to get the correct information I need to be able to make my story believable, is exciting to me. The people that I have met in the writing community has been another favorite part for me.

When I have writer's block I take a few minutes to myself. I step completely away from my computer for a bit. Sometimes the whole day. Instead, I'll do a spin class, clean the house, go outside and play in the dirt. Anything that will get me focused again on what I'm writing.
