I do believe writer's block is real. I've been an artist my entire life, which is starting to be a moderately long time now, and I've experienced plenty of dark moments where creativity just disappeared from my life. I'm not sure there really is an answer to getting around those times. It's a natural part of a creative life.
There needs to be a balance between an artist's work, which I consider writers to be artists by the way, and the art they consume.
A writer needs to appreciate other writer's work to really appreciate their own. So when you are not creating, consume.

I think writing is in my blood, or maybe more specifically my brain. I love a good story. I love words. I love to read. The power of a story and the power of words have always hypnotized me. I don't think I could exist without writing. Not entirely.
