Helen Garraway Hi Lori,

Thank you for the question.

There are six books in the main series with two novellas. Book six should release later this year which will wrap the series up (though I may consider a spin off series if there is the demand!). Then there is the prequel, which may be two books, depends how long it gets (its currently 135k words and there is still a way to go!). I also have ideas for some side stories in the same world as the characters are such fun to write, so I may write more.

So glad you are enjoying the series.
Helen Garraway Being able to escape into a world of my creation, certainly has its benefits at the moment! I love world building as you may be able to tell from my books. From the Watch system in Vespiri, to the nomadic Families in Terolia, they make it real to me. In book three we are off to freezing Archduchy of Elothia.
Helen Garraway I keep writing, anything, drivel even! You can always delete it! Though I tend to move anything that does't work to an 'ideas don't fit' file, just in case I can use it elsewhere. I never delete delete anything. Maybe move to a different project and let my back brain noodle over the issue for a while, before returning to it.
Helen Garraway Don't give up! They say there is a book in everyone.
Write for the sheer joy of writing, don't pressurise yourself to meet someone's else's idea of being a writer. If you intend to publish then make sure you learn the grammar rules, how to structure a novel and how to edit. There is plenty of information out there available for free, so do your research. And if you are self publishing know that everything takes twice as long as you think it will so give yourself plenty of time!
Helen Garraway I am an avid reader, and I love escaping into new worlds. World building in a novel is as much a character in the book to me as the characters themselves. When I started writing, I wanted to build my own world, and Remargaren is the result. I wanted to write the type of book I enjoy, so Fantasy was a no brainer and an epic quest what I enjoy most. The ideas bubbled up and I put pen to paper. To begin with I physically wrote in note books (many notebooks!) and then transcribed onto the computer, editing as I went. I have now written seven novels in the world of Remargaren, I just need to edit them all!
Helen Garraway Now Sentinals Awaken, Book one of my series is safely launched, I am now editing Book Two | Sentinals Rising. The development editor has given it a double thumbs up, so I am busy polishing rather than making any structural changes. She said wow! a few times so I'm feeling positively happy! Sentinals Rising which follows on directly from Book one is due to launch in the spring of 2021, and I can't wait to share it with you all.

Jerrol is now confirmed as the Lady's Captain, and with this additional responsibility he needs to understand who the Sentinals really are and what happened to them. But the Ascendants haven't given up and Jerrol must defend the King from continued attacks. A call for help comes from the neighbouring kingdom of Terolia, and the King sends Jerrol to help thwart whatever the the Ascendants are planning. What Jerrol discovers is beyond anything he could have imagined and may be beyond his and the Sentinals skills to prevent.
