The ground was wet filled with twigs as she walked up the road home which was strangely quiet. Then she looked down and saw that the wetness was red and the twigs that she stepped on were bones.

I usually come up with stories from things around me or because I'm a bit of a history buff, looking at the past. Sometimes I get inspired by music and I try to create a new world or character based on what I'm hearing.

Read and a lot and start writing, whatever it is. I'd suggest poetry because it's a good exercise to write descriptively and how to get your point across in as few words as possible.

I usually read something or listen to music to try to get a different perspective. Usually, I just do a stream of consciousness so that there is something on the page, that I can cut from or add to.

I got the idea from watching the ITV series Victoria. I loved the story of a young woman taking the throne while there were others who doubted or conspired against her, but she manages to stay true to herself.

I think the best thing is that you can travel without leaving your home and also no pun intended, make new friends or enemies, whichever you prefer.
