I'm finishing up preparations to release my upcoming novel, Into the Lightning Gate, as well as work on that novel's sequel and a new novella set in the same continuum as Downstation Blues and Steal the Demon.

When writing gets tedious or difficult, it can be a sign that I'm running out of fuel. I ask myself if I've done the basics to keep myself going. Have I eaten enough? Have I had enough water to drink? Am I tired and need a nap? When was the last time I got up and moved around? Getting up from what I’m doing and making the bed is a surprisingly effective way to regain my focus and motivation. Taking a lunch or snack break often gives my mind and body the rest and refueling I needed to get things back on track.
