Jenifer Kanin First I just take a break - maybe write on another storyline that I am more sure about and then come back to where I was stuck. Next I have a few people I love to bounce ideas off of - they always say something I can get excited about. Last if it is still not working - I throw it out. Especially if it is one line or just one paragraph. So many times delete has fixed my problem!
Jenifer Kanin Being able to create something that brings joy to someone else. When I get a message from a reader that the loved the book, or it made them laugh or cry, that is best part for me.
Jenifer Kanin Show you writing to as many people as possible and be humble about accepting feedback.
Jenifer Kanin The sequel to Unmasked. Working title is 'Consequences' and I want to show the effects of what happened in the first book. I have so many friends that are struggling with anxiety and depression, I wanted to dig into that topic a little. Plus have a couple of crazy adventures planned for Gary!
Jenifer Kanin I try and visualize my story. What would be interesting? What would a reader expect to happen next, and can I surprise them? Is there any humor? If I can get excited about something - the writing comes easier.
Jenifer Kanin From a real life experience when I reached down and pet a skunk that I thought was a cat I was looking after!
