Well summer's kinda over now...if we even had one, given COVID! I recently read "Glückstage in der Hölle", the German translation of Mark Oliver Everett's autobiography "Things The Grandchildren Should Know". Currently I'm reading too many books at once, as usual! Being "Complete Confidence" by Cathy Sirett, "Love Letters To The Postman" by David Hurley, and I recently took a fast ride through the excellent "Pharaoh's Shadow" by Tasha Madison.

Be true to yourself, and do what feels right to you. There's something to be said for just putting pen to paper (or finger to laptop key) and writing what matters to you. I will strike a note of caution, however. Do not let your spelling, punctuation or grammar become sloppy.

Music always inspires me. Other than that, the first rule of writing (or creating anything) is: "There are no rules." You are the creator, do what you want. I find that very liberating, and it gets my creativity going. The worst thing you can do is let your writing be stalled by worries over what others will think.
