Andy Beck Hey Robin 🙂 Thanks for your message! I can understand the preference for physical books. I'll send you a private message and we can take it from there. Cheers and have a nice day, Andy
Andy Beck A man, with piercings in his face, with dread in his eyes, the Earth in his skin and an ear that discerned lies, looked back upon the scene. The mist upon his breath still spelt relief.

("Raven", self-written)
Andy Beck The Shire from Tolkien's masterpieces would be quite nice. I would just try and learn about the people there, and live in harmony with them and the land. Might practice a little wizardry in my spare time.
Andy Beck Well summer's kinda over now...if we even had one, given COVID! I recently read "Glückstage in der Hölle", the German translation of Mark Oliver Everett's autobiography "Things The Grandchildren Should Know". Currently I'm reading too many books at once, as usual! Being "Complete Confidence" by Cathy Sirett, "Love Letters To The Postman" by David Hurley, and I recently took a fast ride through the excellent "Pharaoh's Shadow" by Tasha Madison.
Andy Beck I don't suffer from writer's block, so you're asking the wrong person.
Andy Beck The ability to escape the real world for one of your own creation.
Andy Beck Be true to yourself, and do what feels right to you. There's something to be said for just putting pen to paper (or finger to laptop key) and writing what matters to you. I will strike a note of caution, however. Do not let your spelling, punctuation or grammar become sloppy.
Andy Beck I am currently in the promotional stages of "Folk Springs Eternal", my first novel. I intend to maximise the promotional work on the novel before starting my next novel, which will again be a novel, this time on saving the Scottish Gaelic language.
Andy Beck Music always inspires me. Other than that, the first rule of writing (or creating anything) is: "There are no rules." You are the creator, do what you want. I find that very liberating, and it gets my creativity going. The worst thing you can do is let your writing be stalled by worries over what others will think.
Andy Beck I got the idea for "Folk Springs Eternal" from my long-standing love of Celtic music, and my curiosity about Canada.
