I am not sure there are any "mysteries" in my life that would be a plot for a book. I admit to being more interested in how we live our lives every day. Where do we find meaning? How do we turn the banal into the sublime? I enjoy reading mysteries because they take me out of my life; but as an author I find it very difficult to write stories that are not based in my observations of lived experience. Perhaps I shall set myself a challenge to write a convincing mystery, fantasy, or sci-fi. However, the biggest mysteries in my life right now are how did ten years go by so fast, and where will I find my center now that my father has passed.
