T.J. Stufflebeam Seeing the potential in what could be inspires me to write more than anything. Writing and storytelling was the big ticket that helped lift me out of my depression and was something that filled my life with progression and passion. Honestly, Legacy of the Highborn saved my life.
T.J. Stufflebeam The Magician's Con. Honestly I am pretty exciting to be finishing up this book. Legacy of the Highborn was a fun book, but was a far more serious tone of a story due to the seriousness of the problem. Here in Magician's Con I simple wanted to write a book where I had a lot more fun with it while still telling a compelling story. The jokes have been some of the best parts to write.
T.J. Stufflebeam Keep writing. The biggest thing that is going to get you to finish your book is that you just keep writing. Write every day. Doesn't matter if its 200 words or 2000, just sit down and write. '
With that there are going to be lows and highs, but don't let the lows cause you to throw out the book. There was too much progress made and too much potential left behind by just throwing out a story because you hit a low. Stick with the story through it all, and you will have a finished story in the end.
T.J. Stufflebeam Dealing with writers block is difficult, but regardless if you are stuck on a certain part of the story, its not something that should stop you from writing until the solution is resolved. I simply skip the part for the time being and will continue writing, then when it does come to me (Usually at 3am with work in 2 hours...) Then I'll go back and connect to where I have written.
