Aedyn Brooks Hey, AP! I think it would depend on how spicy you want your ghost to be. Casanova is notorious for his love relationships, but Genghis Khan was quite infamous for his "invasions," if you know what I mean. He was rumored to have fathered so many children that one and five Asians today can link their heritage to him. As for woman, Mata Hari was a master manipulator and spy. She used the art of seduction to gain critical information. Marilyn Monroe probably would be a good coach on flirting. Though I don't know if the breathy seduction used sixty years ago appeals to men today. You'd have to tell me. :-)
Aedyn Brooks Have you ever driven down a straight road at night that every time you passed under a street light it went out? Then look in your review mirror and see that the light came on after you passed. What's in your car that can suck the energy out of streetlight--and how many lights does it take before it can manifest?
Aedyn Brooks This is always a hard one because I absolutely devoured and loved the Scorpius Syndrome books by Rebecca Zanetti, but there's no way in hell I want to live in a post-apocalyptic world--even if the men are the best hero material this side of the Mississippi. I love alpha heroes.
Aedyn Brooks I'm a slow reader. Lately, I've been enjoying books by Kim Hornsby. She is by far, one of the best mystery writers out there. I love how she keeps you guessing on who the villain is up until the end of the book. Deadly Resemblance and A Dream Jumper's Promise made me a fan for life. I also read Good Luck with That by Kristan Higgins, A Wolf's Desire: A Norse Billionaire Shifters Short Story by Asa Maria Bradley, Ashgrove Park by K.V. Martins, Mind Over Magic by Lindsay Buroker, and I'm currently reading The Ninth Curse by K.J. Gillenwater. I definitely would read more stories by this author.
Aedyn Brooks Many of my books are based on the paranormal experiences in my life. Time to Rise will be an early 2022 release. Before the pandemic, Snohomish County Animal Control asked for the public's assistance in helping them locate the person(s) involved in mutilating cats in the area. A veterinarian performed autopsies on the cats and determined it was not done by a natural predator. I don't kill animals in my book, but this true life story became the backstory for my book.
Aedyn Brooks This may seem unbelievable, but I never face writer's block. The reason is because I'm a plantster/plotster. I know where my story's going and I know key elements of every scene that must take place in order to propel the story forward, raise the stakes, or create the biggest disaster on the horizon. I'm teaming with a million story ideas--I only hope I live long enough to share them all with you.
Aedyn Brooks Knowing I'm in control of my own publishing destiny.
Aedyn Brooks Books that made a difference in my writing are by K. M. Weiland's story structure and character arc books; Mary Buckham & Dianna Love's Break into Fiction, and all the thesaurus by Angela Ackerman & Becca Puglisi. Those are just for starters. Join writing groups, and follow writers on social media. If you send me a question, I'll do my best to answer or connect you with someone who may be able to help you. More than anything, never give up on yourself.
Aedyn Brooks I recently wrapped up writing the fifth book in the Grave Intentions series and will be writing the sixth soon. The next book will come out in early 2021.
Aedyn Brooks I've always loved writing, but when I was nine year old, my mother embarrassed me in front of the whole family about my love of writing--and I stopped telling stories, even to myself.

It wasn't until after I had my third baby, and trying every crafting project imaginable, that I decided to try writing. The stories started flowing again. For me, writing is the only thing besides family that brings me joy.
