My favorite book that I wrote is The Cursed Vessel. Since I started this one out at the beginning of Captain Kidd’s life when he was just a child, I feel like it takes the readers through his entire life and allows them to fully understand him and grow a relationship towards the main character as well. I loved writing it as I do with all my books but my special ending makes me very happy since it reminds me of my dad ♥️

In the midst of ashes and ruin, bony fingertips protruded from the grounds where they had once been buried. Their desperation to snatch anything that resembled life spread like a contagious disease to all who remained beneath the earth’s surface.

It depends. If I feel like my brain is fried, I will go for a walk or do other things and then come back to it again. If I’m trying to get myself in the mood to write a certain scene, I like to imagine that I am in that scene first. For example, if I am writing a scene where Native Americans are having a powwow and get together, I will watch videos of powwows and listen to music to envision that I am actually there.

The best thing about being a writer is that it is YOUR OWN WORLD that you can do whatever you want with! That’s what is so exhilarating about it!!

As Shia Lebouf would say, JUST DO IT! I feel that sometimes people put it off because it is overwhelming to think about writing an entire book. But if you just pick up the pen or pencil and start writing that is best. Don’t put it off!

I am currently working on writing The Cursed Vessel. This is a quick blurb: The open waters were the gateway to freedom that William desired most. After a quick turn of events, lucid daydreams turned into reality. The gateway to independence lied within voyages throughout the seas. Falling into the hands of the darkest of paths, William becomes the rumored Captain Kidd that made history.

My inspirations are experiences that I have. Sometimes, it is difficult because I will get random spurts of ideas in my head while I am busy doing things. In that case, I usually jot down a few notes and then come back to it later. I would say nature is my best inspiration as I write the most when I am outside

My most recent book, The Cursed Spirit, was actually an idea I had after I wrote Presence. Since Presence is about Charles Island and the many curses set upon the land, I thought it would be really fun to write about the origins of the curses starting with the Native Americans who were the first to reside there.
