Finally, the light of the sun extinguished. Next, would the passengers aboard the last spaceship freeze from lack of heat, or suffocate when the oxygen ran out?

I don't believe in writers block. There are days I can't write but I don't call that writers block. If I'm staring at the blank white page, I write gibberish until something coherent appears.

Believe you can write a good story even when you read your draft and it's bad. Keep going. Read the works of the masters. Read a thousand books.

I get inspired by sitting down and writing. I know this sounds like I'm brushing off the question, but it's true. If I write ten words I'll write 500. It's getting from going about my day to writing ten words that's the tricky part. To that, I still don't know. It just sort of happens some days and others it doesn't.

My most recent book is titled Below the Dome. The idea came from many places. Books I've read, games I've played, movies I've watched, you know, where all ideas come from. It was sparked while I was watching a lecture. The lecturer mentioned the early Mesopotamian peoples believed the sky was dome shaped. The question came to my head, "What's below the dome?" And boom! A story was born. I immediately clicked off and started writing ideas down on a yellow legal pad I always have on my desk.
