Raymond Wheeler I was leading a group of post-bac men, women, and young couples who were at the point in their professional careers of being promoted to managers. Their questions about how to survive and thrive in their new roles reminded me of my own questions when I first entered management and how I went about answering them.
Raymond Wheeler I find questions or problems the answer to which will make a difference in real peoples' lives.
Raymond Wheeler I have two books I am working on. One I was challenged to write by a friend, a simple guide to leadership. It incorporates my sketches with single inspirational thoughts about leadership. The other is a book on the God who communicates. I have begun a book on observations from the Christian scriptures about how God communicates and how people knew it was God. The book is written with the skeptic in mind and the language reflects this.
Raymond Wheeler The best advice I ever received was, write daily. It doesn't matter if you blog, journal, or scribble on an iPad. Just write.
Raymond Wheeler I get two rewards from writing. First, it helps me solve a problem I have thought about. Second, it helps others. I get inspired by the fact someone is encouraged, comforted, or prodded to try something new by what I write.
Raymond Wheeler I journal specifically by writing a letter to my dad (now deceased) about current events in my life.
