E.M. Howell Poorly.

Seriously? I just tell myself it doesn't matter if what I write is good, I can trash it all later. Just get the words down. Usually that results in a few paragraphs being useless but then I get into a rhythm and the rest turns out fine!

Pinterest works too. I find a pretty picture and write about it.
E.M. Howell I had to think about this one for a minute. I came up with two answers:

1. I love stories--movies, TV or books, you name it, I just love to consume them. When I write my own, I basically get to create the story I want to read.
2. When I tell people what I do, they think I am super cool.
E.M. Howell Don't lose sight of why you are writing in your journey to achieve success.

I spent my teen years and young adulthood writing only for myself before I ever realized I wanted to actually be a writer. I wrote back then simply because I had stories in my head that I wanted to explore further. I have a few different side projects that I write in when I am feeling disillusioned with the project I should be working on for my career, simply so I can remember the joy that writing brings me.
E.M. Howell I am working on the launch for Queen of the Sea tomorrow! As soon as the weekend is over with I plan to get started on book three which only has a rough outline so far. I want to challenge myself to see how fast I can write this one.
E.M. Howell I love pinterest. I have so many boards for all my different story worlds. If I need inspiration I often go look at pictures of what I imagine my characters or their setting to look like and suddenly I want to write about it.
E.M. Howell The Wildflowers and Evertrees series started out with just one character: Andrew. I didn't know his name or much about him beyond the fact that he was excessively tall and not accepted by his peers because of his lineage. He was actually inspired by a character in a fantasy novella I was reading at the time.
