I am currently working on the first book in a series called, The Connected Stories Project. The theme of this first book is beauty. I'm asking people from around the world to send me one sentence or illustration about what beauty means to them. I'm then taking all of the sentences and creating one story. I wrote Pixie and the Bees in one sitting during the summer of 2019. I had been sick for about a year at the time and had just accepted the diagnosis of anxiety. My body had felt like it was constantly buzzing.... thus Pixie and the Bees.
