Jack S. Houston My advice would be to really know it's what you want to do. Most jobs are not what we imagine them to be, and after investing a lot of time and money we can feel as though we have to stick with it so to speak, and that is wrong in my opinion. I definitely do not want to turn people off of nursing, but if it is not a good fit, you will be miserable for most of your adult life. Some of the people in my stories should have tested to waters, did some volunteer work, work as a nurses aid or something to really know if it is right for you. I have worked with all types, nurses that displayed traits of an angel, and others far, far from it. It is an awesome feeling helping those in need, BUT, you may find you are the one in need lots of times, just trying to do your job, as management often does not look after their staff, and you are put in harms way. Best of luck, reach out anytime.
