What’s the best thing about being a writer?
June Triana-Schiada I like being alone with my music. When I write it brings me so much peace. I turn on my aroma diffuser and light my candles and let God flow through me. It is amazing!

How do you deal with writer’s block?
June Triana-Schiada I take a nap and set everything aside. It helps to walk away sometimes. I tend to read other childrens books avidly when my ideas do not flow. I am always in awe as to how much creativity is out there!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
June Triana-Schiada Read and study your craft. There is so much information out there, it is head spinning. This industry is very sharing and other authors can help you so much, all you need to do is listen!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
June Triana-Schiada Pepper the Magic Tortie was inspired by my fond memories of our own cat. I also, of course, as most writters do, used many of my own experiences in my writing.

What are you currently working on?
June Triana-Schiada I have started my outline for a second book in the Pepper the Magic Tortie Series. It will open up during Halloween time, one of Pepper's favorite seasons!
