Writer’s block...every writers nightmare. Typically this is hard on me because I like to be productive and if I’m not writing sometimes I feel like I’m wasting time. But then I have to tell myself that sometimes you need a break to let your mind rest. So I usually end up just reading or playing music or doing something else.

Hmmm, I’d say to me, the best thing about being a writer is getting to play god. Lol. You have this blank canvas to create whatever you want. There are no rules, only what you create. You get to show the world a little bit of what’s in your soul.

My advice for aspiring writers would be, get it out of your heads that there is a certain way to write a book or a certain way to go about it. Just write what you want. I’ve noticed that a lot of people focus too much on “what’s accepted” or try to stick to certain guidelines. But I think when it comes to art sometimes playing by the rules limits the creative process. Let your imagination run wild.

Usually reading and any form emotion gets my wheels turning. Idk why, that’s always been the case. It can have nothing to do with what I’m writing about or even feeling. But rather what I pick up from others, or even something as simple as listening to music, or watching something that makes me emotional lol

Honestly, it started about five or six years ago when I heard a song called ‘The Same’ by one of my fav singer-song writers ‘Birdy’ and the idea slowly began to stem from there. That, and my obsession with humanity and good vs evil and the thin line between.
