Sometimes an idea for a scene will pop into my head out of nowhere, and it feels like I have to get it out and write it down. I was driving to my hometown to see my cousin once and I imagined my character going to her hometown. Seeing her family, bringing the woman she loves to meet her parents.
Other times, I simply start writing and let ideas flow freely. Getting started is the hardest part!
