I was asked to give a talk with 20 minutes of warning. the only thing I could think of preparing so quickly was my recurring challenges with retrospectives, which I then framed as antipatterns. People seemed to get value from it and I decided to write a book.

Start with a blog post. Work your way into a document that you can access wherever you are, and then, suddenly, you have enough for a book. Leanpub is a great way to get it started, because you have hear the feedback from your readers while you write the book.
