Ray Rowan Family stories told to me as a young lad. Building that no longer stand I explored as a child. One come from a news article I found from 1890 as I did family research.

Ray Rowan Old newspapers, family stories, seeing old building and think what must have happen in them, and family research. Nothing like reading papers from 1800 or before to bring adventure to mind.

Ray Rowan Think about your story and write anything down that comes to mind. Write, even if it makes no sense as later it will after you come back and look at it with an open mind to add to it or correct it.
Ray Rowan I work a full-time day job, and for me it releases the stress of the day. I can travel the roads of the past as I write and live life through the eyes of the characters created to bring the story alive with adventure and new roads untraveled.
Ray Rowan Step away from it for a day or so and sometimes work on another story and let my mind rest. Then most of the time it all comes popping out.
Ray Rowan Having awoken on the darkest of nights, not aware of how I had arrived here and unable to find my way out. I find myself bumping into the headstones of ancient graves. The headstones mostly of wood with some carved from rock were illuminated by the light of fireflies dancing through the night, I stumble into a hole, a grave and written on the headstone of that grave was my own name.
Ray Rowan Camelot: I would travel back to the times of " King Author, the round table, and Merlin the wizard". I would attempt to gain knighthood and join the roundtable.
Ray Rowan History, Western, and war is always on my reading list.
