Brian Townsend I get the chance to make people feel, which is always an awesome responsibility.
Brian Townsend Write every day.

It's kind of like working out. The first day is great, lots of motivation, but then after a few days, your body is sore, you're tired, and the motivation starts to fade. If you stop, whenever you choose to pick it back up again, you'll be at square one. If you keep going though, over time it starts to get easier.

I find I'm at my worst when I don't write for a few days. Then I come back and I feel more sluggish, less precise, and find the words I put on the paper to be wildly incoherent and very lame. That, in return, just makes me feel worse about myself and my writing, which makes me want to write less. A routine or writing each day helps break that.
Brian Townsend I usually pile my way through it. I've worked on getting used to the fact that some days it's just going to come to me naturally, but most days I'll need to work at it. I try to get words down on paper, no matter how blocked I may feel. Sometimes it's just dialogue, sometimes it's a description of a tree, but words on the paper is goal number 1.
