I'm a little late getting to this question. Let's go for winter reading list. I listen to a lot of audiobooks. It's a thirty-minute drive one way, five times a week. Currently, it's a non-fiction book. I'm a happily-ever-after girl, but he was a speaker at my child's school. It's called "Against All Odds" by Jeff Lestz. I've recently read "The Start of Us" by Lauren Blakely, "Talon" by Theresa Hissong, some Colleen Hoover, because who doesn't. My TBR for the rest of the year is "Harlow's Gamble" by Andi Rhodes, "A Fresh Start" by a new author, Melissa Filla along with Jaime Russell. I just got paperbacks by Christine Michelle I'm dying to sink into.

In my own life, my mysteries are where I put something. There are several mysteries in the areas around me. More unsolved murders than a small town should have. Ghost stories and legends, we've all got a few. Now I want to write a mystery instead of romance.

Things I wish I knew before you ever publishing my first book...
1. Make a social media presence
2. Make friends with other authors (we support each other), share other authors books, I did do this one before I knew I was going to write
3. Review every book you read, you can't expect people to review you, if you never review anyone else (I have always done this, it's important)
4. Watch tons of how-to videos on Youtube about all the extras you need to know besides just writing your book (there is SO MUCH you need to know... especially if you will be an indie
5. Have a couple books done before you publish the first, releasing every couple months.

Meeting all the people that have read your book. That is so crazy to me that someone not only knows the characters in your head, but loves them and wants more.
Instead of random things floating around in your noggin, nowhere to go, now you can put them on paper and expand upon it.

Binge a TV show, listen to music, read. If it's been a week and no ideas SCREAM write me. I'll make an outline of what else needs to happen. I don't make them beforehand. It usually comes to me organically.

Leslie and I wanted to write a MC series and it just sprouted from there.

I'm currently working on a Novella in the Unfortunate Souls MC series called Stack'd Against Ruger. After that comes Phoenix's Zen.

My writing classes in college and high school were my favorite. I loved writing short stories. I have always wanted to write a book but had no idea how to start. Leslie invited me to go to an authors convention last year and we got to meet so many amazing people and became friends. This year on an adventure we met Dove Cavanaugh King (before she wrote a book) and we all kind of pushed each other to go for it. She's published two books now and the way she writes is simply AMAZING! I aspire to someday be that good.
