Penny Aimes All of the most interesting book worlds are probably not actually fantastic places to live. I'd like to be a background character in a cheerful contemporary YA where nothing too dreadful ever happens, I think... maybe a helpful librarian or favorite teacher!
Penny Aimes A potential sequel to FOR THE LOVE OF APRIL FRENCH with two of the girls from her trans-girl D&D group, Pride and Progesterone. It's trans f/trans f; fake romance; messy-chaotic/buttoned-down-controlled.

One of the girls is closeted, but out to her friend, and they are trying to fool her family that they are a m/f couple. It is still in early stages because I'm not ENTIRELY sure it's going to be possible to write without being a huge bummer!
Penny Aimes The initial idea (which is very different than where it ended up) was to invert the classic BDSM workplace resume, by having an experienced submissive seduce and initiate her boss into the world of kink.

Not very similar at all! But there are elements still there. I decided very quickly that if I was going to write a kinky book, I didn't want a stuttering submissive who isn't sure if this is what she wants. Not that there's anything wrong with that narrative--I love some books that use it, like At Her Feet by R. Weatherspoon--but it wasn't what I wanted to write.
