K.T. Lyon The best way I've found to deal with writer's block is to start writing different stories. That way, I'm not wasting time, and I'm still writing something down. It's one of the reasons I have random stories saved on my laptop. My debut novel, Newborn Deceit, was actually two different stories that I merged into one, and it worked surprisingly well. My advice is to write everything down that fills your head because I can guarantee it will come in handy at a later time.
K.T. Lyon I get most of my idea's, believe it or not, from my dreams. I have bizarre and beautiful dreams, and as soon as I wake up, I note them down for inspiration for later.
K.T. Lyon My trembling hand eases forward cautiously towards the lifeless face, wiping away the slimy leaves that shield her identity. My legs crumble from under me, firing me backwards onto the ground; the face under the leaves, it's me, it's my face.
K.T. Lyon I am currently working on two novels at the moment (possibly three as I've written four chapters of a Christmas themed story). One is my new thriller, which is in the final editing stage. And the other I'm working on is something a little more fun. I began writing this for my daughter around three years ago as she loves fantasy stories. It's an urban fantasy/magical realism fiction novel, which I can only describe as Harry Potter meets Game of Thrones with a sprinkling of Disney! What's the worst that can happen, ha!
