First, I punch the block with a nice right-hand jab, then follow it up with a roundhouse kick to the left. If that doesn't work, I stab it with a Ginsu kitchen knife. If that doesn't work, I use dynamite. And if none of those work, I have a nice beer, usually an amber lager.

I'm working on a romance novel about a serial killer... what one author friend aptly termed a "Stockholm Syndromance"! It is crazy fun to write!

I like Somerset Maugham's answer to this: "I write only when inspiration strikes. Fortunately it strikes every morning at nine o'clock sharp." I write even when I'm not inspired, and after a few paragraphs the muse kicks in :)
