As a child growing up in the 80s—listening to new wave, counting down the days to the next episodes of my favorite cartoons and the ads of the newest toys to be released; I was oblivious of the life of children just several decades ago in Europe. So when I started seeing videos and movies pertaining to the holocaust, it simply made no sense to me. I began asking questions but was never satisfied with what I got. Maybe I was really 'too young' to understand as most of the adults have pointed out.
As an adult myself at the birth of the internet age, with all types of resources (and time) —WWII documentaries, online articles, cable, google, wikipedia; I still don't understand how anyone would approve such a horrific predicament.
This story is a product of a childlike imagination attempting to escape or grasp the reality of humanity's abhorrent side. I want to remind readers of this crucial part of history, ignite interest, and encourage research that fully grasps the facts.
