Honestly, the fourth book of my Love in Cedar Springs is going to be an emotional one. I wasn't even sure I would write it. This one follows Liz and Elliott and their infertility journey. The struggles they have between the two of them as husband and wife, the individual struggles and insecurities they have to overcome. It's a tough topic for me as this will be as close to writing my own infertility journey as I will get. So where did I get the inspiration for my most recent book. Myself. Ten years after having my miracle baby I'm ready to put it out there as much as I can.

I honestly don't know. Sometimes it's as simple as a song, or my husband and daughter, or even social media. Something will happen or I'll hear something and a whole scene will play out in my head.

Right now I am editing the second book in my Angels Series. While writing the fourth installment of Cedar Springs. My characters are attacking me all at once. So I'm just trying to get it all out and on my computer.

Just do it. I know that's Nike's slogan. But its accurate here too. I would tell them to go for it. Write it down, type it out. That's how I started. I had a fun idea and I ran with it. It was a hobby, something fun to do with my best friend. and we had the most fun escaping into Cedar Springs and now I'm working on book 4 in that series. I publish direct through Kindle Direct Publishing. So, I have control over everything and they have everything you need to get started.

I love the book community, there are so many great, supportive authors and readers. I never thought I would be a writer. But i absolutely love creating a whole new world. Characters I consider friends (I know i sound crazy) and letting my imagination wild wild. My books aren't fantasy. Yet. But to create a neighborhood of friends and their lives has just been incredible.

I try not to let it overwhelm me, take a step away from the book. Binge one of my favorite TV shows (Friends / Psych / Dexter) Maybe dive into a new book. If inspiration or my characters don't start speaking to me again. I start from the beginning of the book and see if we maybe took a wrong turn and see if I can get us back on track. So far, fingers crossed, we always seem to right ourselves.
