Jennifer Lenhardt I've got a couple projects going at the moment.

First, a children's story I wrote several years ago that's getting one last final edit (I hope), and then once that's finished, I'll start illustrations for it.

And secondly, my other writing project is a memoir I started about my coming of age in the 80's. Should be interesting to see what might unfold in the process. Maybe I'll learn something from it, and if it ever does happen to get published, maybe it'll have something to say to others as well.
Jennifer Lenhardt When I came up with the idea to write, ‘FINN, A Mermaid’s Tale,’ I wanted to write about a character who had experienced trauma in their childhood (in Finn’s case; abuse), and how that can carry into adulthood and basically affect everything about a person's self-worth, with Finn, being no exception.

Knowing so many unfortunately experience abuse in childhood, whether that be physical, emotional, or sexual, I really wanted a story that brought hope and the idea to others that healing is possible. For Finn, it’s in the magical encounter he has with a Mermaid that finally opens this door of possibility for him. Like so many victims of abuse, being able to talk about it and bring it to light, is one of the first steps to healing.
