As of yet, it hasn't. I am still in the process of figuring out the whole self-marketing thing, and writing book number 2. I am proud to be published, and I am, so far, the only one in my family to be a published author. So, although I haven't made a name for myself yet, and my life hasn't changed yet, I do have pride in that. I've always wanted to be a writer, and now I am.

As a former military spouse, I have long respected the sacrifices made by both the military member and their families. It isn't an easy life, and the utter failure of this country to take care of the very people that protect our freedoms has appalled me. I wanted to show how human wounded veterans are, and that they not only deserve our respect, and the best of everything, but they deserve unconditional love like all of us. "For better and for worse, in sickness and in health, till death do us part," in my mind has even more meaning when marrying someone who is ill, dealing with PTSD, disabled, or permanently injured.
