Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Robert J. Sweetman I read the novel "The Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara a number of years ago. Based on my knowledge of the battle of Gettysburg, I knew that much of the story was missing on the Union side of the battle. Other accounts perpetuated the "spin" generated after the battle to cover up poor performance. This prompted me to set the record straight. By using the narrative format, I was able to examine the thoughts and motivations of the main characters.
