Kate Eberle Walker I write something totally different. Throughout the time that I was working on my book, I wrote some really great and totally random short stories. When your brain can't get going in one direction, try another.
Kate Eberle Walker I'm recording a live interview from home. My daughter interrupts and says the police are at the door and they want to talk to her mother.

(this actually happened!)
Kate Eberle Walker After I became a CEO, younger women would ask me for advice on how to advance in their careers, and I began to recognize that the advice I was giving them too often involved telling them how to adapt themselves and maneuver to fit working environments that were designed by men, for men. I started to question what would be needed to change that dynamic so that women could just be themselves at work. I knew that bosses have way more power to actually change things, and imagined a world where every boss did their part to make a better place to work for women. So I wrote a book that would teach them how to do that - all managers, at all levels. That's how I got started writing what became The Good Boss: 9 Ways Every Manager Can Support Women at Work.
