Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Hattie Jude I've always been fascinated by camps or boarding schools or any place where people are sent where they're under someone else's authority...and those in authority are $%#@#$*^&*.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Hattie Jude If there's one scene that I CAN write, I move on to that instead of forcing the next thing to come if it's just not. And sometimes, if the story I'm working on isn't flowing, I move on to a different story entirely, just to be writing something.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Hattie Jude I love writing so much. I've always loved reading and hearing good stories. I love words. I love everything about books. :) Writing characters that are so different from me and pouring out the emotion through stories is cathartic.
