There is so much more editing than I ever knew. Be prepared to edit, then edit again, then again, and again. Editing is huge. Even then, there are still times mistakes happen.

Technically Harry Potter is set in “our world,” so I’m going to answer this question more specifically.
I would love to go to Diagon Alley! I would love to see all the amazing shops, the post office, the bank, etc.
Also, I would want to go as a witch, not as a muggle. I would like to be able to enjoy it the way it is meant to be seen.

My most current WIP is Book 8 for the Into the Lighthouse series. That’s only in writing, though. I am also working with the illustrator on Book 2 and always editing books 2 through 7!

My biggest inspiration comes from the excitement of my readers! It’s so fun to write when I know the readers are having fun.
It can still be hard to get started in every day life so, when I’m stuck, I will reread other parts of my WIP to get back into the flow.
