NJ Boyer Well, we are in the waning part of summer here in Australia, so I have finished most of my reading list. However, I still have AC Ward's The Potential of Forgetting and The Fall of Aries by Paul Sating on my list.
NJ Boyer Oh! How fun. Okay, I have three...

1. I would travel to Green Gables and become the third BFF to Anne and Diana. I would fall into Anne's beautiful and romantic antics.

2. Ray Bradbury's Green Town, Illinois from Something Wicked This Way Comes. There is something about this story and the carnival that has always drawn me in. I would love to be part of the sideshow.

3. I love post-apocalyptic stories. I love the hope (even dim hope) you find there. So I would happily wander the ash strewn streets of San Fran as they come in Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K Dick.
NJ Boyer I don't believe in writer's block. There are times when I am unsure how to get from point A to point B in a story and often I will skip to point B and work backwards. If that still isn't working, I move my physical writing location and/or write at a different time of day. If I still can't work it out, then it's time to go spend time in the hills with my horse. Sometimes you need distance to make things flow.
NJ Boyer Sharing my story worlds and characters. I hope you love them as much as I do.
NJ Boyer What is stopping you from writing? Come on, tell me. I will wait. Now, let me tell you my advice... that list of obstacles is not what is holding you back. It's either fear (fear of success, fear that you will look a fool, fear of so many other things) or laziness. Everyone is busy. You have to prioritize your writing. Even if it is just a few minutes each day. I personally gave up watching TV the months when I am writing my stories. I give into laziness sometimes but I also know that I will have to push myself to get my work done.

Ultimately, believe in yourself. I know that you can do this. After all, I have.
NJ Boyer Well, I have another 10 short stories in The Sentinels of New Orleans series. In February 2021, my debut novel, A Sea of Trees, will be hitting book shelves. And towards the end of the year, I will publish the first novel in the Patty's Hotel for Wayward Witches series entitled, Hearts' Haven.
NJ Boyer Inspiration comes from everywhere. I find it easiest to be outside and quiet so that I can listen to the voices in my head. Those voices come from observing the world around me. It doesn't matter where I am, I am always watching.
NJ Boyer My most recent series of stories, The Sentinels of New Orleans, began when I was standing in line at Walt Disney World. There was a group of teens behind me and their playful antics brought Ilish and her crew into my mind. I knew it was going to be a story centered on dark things, so I had to set it in New Orleans.
