Michael J. Beasley What helps me deal with writer's block is finding a place of mental serenity and muting all distractions except cinematic and epic film scores playing on music-streaming services such as Spotify. Additionally, I like to map out my ideas in my projects with online mind-mapping resources that can string together a cluster of concepts into a manageable and digital brainstorming session. Sometimes, it takes patience and self-discipline to dedicate sizable time blocks to reach your strides entirely. Don't be hard on yourself if you struggle at first, but continue to put your skills into practice daily, weekly, biweekly, or whenever the opportunity is conducive for maximum creative potential.
Michael J. Beasley My advice for aspiring writers is to find an idea to latch onto, keep practicing your writing skills on a regular and ongoing basis. If you struggle to find ideas to lend to your creativity: do not give up; something will pop in your mind and stay with you. When you have that creative spark and drive to put something new and different in the world, you must apply yourself until you find fulfillment in what you enjoy doing.
Michael J. Beasley For me, the best thing about being a writer is the capability to express so many ideas and conceptualize parallel worlds that seem realistic and plausible. I also enjoy telling stories through my life experiences as an individual who underwent many challenging times that have made me the man I am today.
Michael J. Beasley Currently, I am working on polishing and refining my second book in the EJFS series. The next book will be a continuation from the end of the first book, in which I hope to span the entire series into a trilogy of some sorts.
Michael J. Beasley Most of my inspiration comes from listening to my customized playlists on Spotify. I also draw inspiration by watching old TV dramas from the past two decades. Sometimes an idea can pop into my mind, and I adopt it into my writing if it flows with the plotline.
Michael J. Beasley My first book's idea was formed in my mind in 2015 when I conceptualized the idea of secret superhero super-agents creating a vast network as crusaders for justice in global tyranny, corruption, and terrorism.

I wanted to incorporate weather modification technology, transformative flying vehicles, and physical transformations to use as the premise for the main character (Caleb Porter) to become the newest stellar agent in the fictitious superagency known as the EJFS.

The ultimate goal is to convey a message against tyranny, corruption, and terrorism; neither of these things should be tolerated in today's world.
