Writer's block is part of the process. For me it a problem to be figured out. I usually get writer's block when something isn't working in a manuscript so I take a few steps back, maybe revisit my outline, and try to get a better overall vision of what I want the piece to look like.

For me, it is the cathartic feeling that I get when I finish a work, be it a short story, novella, or full-length manuscript. I go through the full gamut of emotions when I write, ranging from complete disgust to giddy joy so that relief at the end when I see all that I've done laid before me is priceless.

Write. Sit down and write. Most of it will be utter garbage but after time and practice, you will start to feel more comfortable and start producing works that you are proud of. Keep your expectations realistic as well; you're not going to be writing a Nebula award-winning novel on your first try. Most importantly, write what you enjoy. If you aren't enjoying what you are writing, then you probably shouldn't be writing it.

I am currently working on three different projects. The first is Episode II of Tuatha dé Danann, which I hope to have completed in the next few months. I am also plugging away at my first novel, a space opera titled Haven Lost. I also like to write short stories for my website regularly and I am currently rebooting/reworking a story I wrote last year.

Classical/Orchestral music is usually my number one source of inspiration. When I need to be inspired I will usually take a long drive and listen to music while brainstorming ideas.

Tuatha dé Danann was originally an alien invasion manuscript that I started over a decade ago. The original manuscript was a huge mess as I was dealing with the passing of my mother at the time so I ended up shelving it. About a year ago I decided to revisit the original concept and reboot it as an episodic novella series.
