I have a very different way to write. Most of everything I wrote in this first book was just sitting down every day. I had a goal to write an hour and at least a thousand words, Every day. I mostly had no idea where I was going to go each time. I just sat and asked God, can you just guide me on what to do. It would suddenly just flow. I never had a block. This second one was a little different because so much happens in the first one and not knowing how to repeat things and where to start the book. But I sat there and just typed junk and then it would suddenly come to life.

I love to talk to people about what I have learned and when I can inspire someone. That is the greatest. I love to meet readers/writers and talk about the whole process.

Just do it! Never let anyone stop you or don't let yourself stop you. I never in a million years thought I could do it and then do it to where readers loved it. I am blessed. But, you just have to sit down and start. Even if it is only a sentence each time.

I have a friend in the film business that has written several books. I just kept talking to him and then put my foot down and said I was doing it. I guess it was the next chapter in my life.

I had this idea a very long time ago and wanted to do a movie on it when I was in the movie business. The main idea was from a video I had seen on a police camera. It was a female police officer who had done a traffic stop and the driver got out of the vehicle with his young daughter. He didn't want to go to jail and he brutally beat the officer while his daughter was begging for him to stop. I just always wanted to do something back then and years later I just sat down and started. It is not exactly like the book, but it motivated me after all those years.
