I’ve had to walk away from this book for weeks at a time because of writer’s block. If you can’t get passed something, walk away. Live your life. Come back to it when something inspires you again. My book was written in over 3 years. It takes time. Don’t try to write it all down in a day. It won’t happen.

The best thing is growing with your characters. Connecting with them as you create them. They start to feel like your real friends and you grow to feel proud of them.

My advice is write about what you know, find a place you feel comfortable writing in, and just have fun with it. I don’t care how much money I make off my books, only how many people enjoy reading it. Write something you want to give to people.

I am currently working on the sequel to my first book. It will be written from Tyler and Eric’s perspectives and will follow a few months after the adventures in the first book.

Usually I like to be sitting in a coffee shop with a steaming latte. The ideas just start flowing when you’re in the right setting. Most of this book was written while listening to music with my earbuds. I’ve been told I am one of the only authors who can do that, but honestly, the music really inspires me and helps me think.

My Grampa always used to tell me “write what you know about.” Well, there was nothing I knew about more than superheroes. So I went through a lot of books and couldn’t find anything like what I wanted about teens who were thrown together as a team and had no idea what they were doing. So I created my own!
