The Lord gave me the topic for my latest book entitled: Guidance and Encouragement from Isaiah. My inspiration always comes from the Holy Spirit, the Bible and life experiences.

Write what naturally interests you. There is a reason why you have certain proclivities and abilities. All your experiences writing, whether in school or for a job, play a role in your formation as a writer. Don't disregard any type of writing you have to do because it can make you a better writer.

Writing is very therapeutic for me. I forget all my troubles and focus on the ideas and Bible verses the Holy Spirit gives me. It's like a kind of communion with God and I treasure it.

Sometimes inspiration comes to me in the middle of the night. Whenever inspiration comes I write the ideas or Bible verses down and then when I have the free time at a more appropriate hour, I add those ideas and Bible verses to my manuscript. Other times, no inspiration comes. However, if I just go to my computer and read what I have already written, inspiration will more than likely come, as I go with the flow. My inspiration is from the Holy Spirit, the Bible and life experiences.
