I'm currently working on a middle grade fiction novel (A Stone's Throw), which is about an 11-year-old girl that is shuttled from a San Francisco orphanage to an eastern Montana ranch to live with a grandfather she has never met.

Being a newbie author myself, the whole writing/editing/publishing process can be daunting, to say the least! But, you never get past the first step if you don't sit down and write your story... so, do that first and research how to do the rest.
