Develop my characters’ personalities first and then put them into situations were they can interact and see where you go from there. You’d be surprised what you can bring out of yourself writing like that but plot developments are harder I find. For the first Dissension Process novel, I turned to many different genres to craft the overall story, hence the multiple twists and turns along the way while making it into a coherent story

A myriad of personal experiences with suffering low moods in my 20s as well as a desire to create a female main character who took on an anti-hero style role but who was relatable and sympathetic. My work in a charitable-role in a past job allowed me to see the effects on (mainly) disaffected youth in society which I applied to my story too
