Erick Drake "Inspired" is a bad word when it comes to writing.

Habit and routine. It must be habit and routine. I decide on the best time to write (that is normally from 6am weekdays and needs to be worked in around the day job), have a target number of words per day and then turn up on time and do the work, irrespective of whether or not you feel inspired.

If you wait for inspiration, you'll never write anything.

For a very good book on this subject, see "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield.
Erick Drake Completing the last short story in my anthology "Elashom the Great Refuses", and outline for the 3rd novel in the Space Scrap 17 comedy series ("The Biscuits of War').

There never seem to be enough hours in the day!
