Because I've worked as a copywriter and advertising creative for nearly 20 years, I've had a lot of experience writing (yes, ads count too!) regardless of my mood or level of inspiration. When it's your job, you have to do it. The same goes for writing a book. If you consider it your job, you have to just do it. The actual words may not be great, but they will lead to something better eventually...such as a non-empty page. And that's a start.
