I just deleted the trashcan on my computer and it made that satisfying little crumbling-up-a-piece-of-paper sound effect which signifies that I've cleared my computer and my head of some unwanted digital clutter. Wait, where is the folder that contains my manuscript and all my notes?

By staring long and hard at the blank page, probing its deepest thoughts. Also, getting outside to walk or shoot basketballs or work in the yard helps clear the head and open up some pathways. Just changing the routine a little.
