Rodger Carlyle ENEMY PATRIOTS is the story of how war takes already complicated lives and makes them both more meaningful and more passionate. The inspiration came from studying how the American government, embarrassed by its treatment of Japanese American citizens, covered up much of their contribution to winning World War II.
Rodger Carlyle A book on the last two years of the Vietnam War, after the American military withdrawal. It seems topical with the current move to remove all military in Afghanistan. Few Americans know that South Vietnam lost more military and civilians killed in one battle in early 1975 than the U.S. lost in the entire war.
Rodger Carlyle I've never experienced writer's block. In decades of life and countless hours of research I've found that there is a lifetime of historical/political misrepresentation and cover ups that demand a story.
