Hi Rosana, you can read Cooper’s story before Darby’s but I would recommend reading Jayme’s story after Trent because there is a foster reunion! Hope this helps…Laura

My great grandfather disappeared and was never heard from again. I don't write historical suspense, but this mystery temps me to consider it!

I adore hearing from my readers, but again to be honest the best thing about being a writer is the ability to manage my own career. To write what is in my heart and to have people read my work. This is truly a blessing beyond anything I've anticipated. Thanks to all of you who read my books, I am very thankful.

My advice is to never give up. Talent is important, but sheer determination to write a book all the way through, to edit and polish, is even more so. That is the part a lot of authors don't (or can't) follow through on. The difference between you and me is that I have that determination to sit every day in front of my computer and put words on paper. Always.

I'm currently working on my new series. Smoky Mountain Secrets will kick off on May 4th with Hailey's Haven, followed by Sawyer's Secret and Darby's Decision. My goal is to have all six books come out this year. Wish me luck on that, haha.

Like most writers, I was a voracious reader, and often ran out of books to read when I was young. I began to write my own stories, my first book was written on a typewriter when I was thirteen. I wrote my first romance at seventeen, and was crushed when Harlequin rejected it. I went on to become a nurse, but writing always called to me. I'm thrilled to be writing full time now.

I get my ideas from all over, so this is always a difficult question to answer. I wish I could explain where they come from, but I'm just grateful they keep popping into my brain.

I honestly don't believe in writer's block. When the words don't come it's mostly because I'm stuck and am dealing with a plot or character issue. I like to tell authors if you're stuck go in reverse, meaning back up your story and see where your characters have made a wrong turn. It's usually our own fault as authors, not a mysterious block in the brain.
